The Difference Between IPA and Acetone
Many people confuse IPA with Acetone, but they do different jobs:
- IPA is a mild solvent. It gently cleans the nail and dehydrates it without breaking down cured nail products.
- Acetone is a very strong solvent. It is used to soak off existing gel polish, can break down acrylic products or gel nails completely.
- Both products are extremely flammable and should be stored safely and handled with care.
- Neither product should be discarded down the sink. It should be absorbed into a soft cloth (such as kitchen towel) and placed in a bin bag.
STORAGE & USEAGE
- Store Acetone in a cool dark place, away from heat, sparks, naked flames and direct sunlight
- Always use in a well ventilated area
- Keep containers tightly sealed when not in use
- Store away from oxidising agents.
